JSC “Transachema” , owned by the concern Achemos grupė, was established in 1998
Transachema mostly engages in freight forwarding by a railway. The company also provides expediting, cargo weighing, carriage rental, washing, preparation for loading, document confirmation, carriage tracing and accounting services.
Transachema owns a private carriage park of almost 1000 railcars consisting of tank-wagons, bulk-wagons, half-wagons. The company also owns more than 36 km of railway approach roads.
JSC “Transachema” is a member of European Rail Freight Association (ERFA) and National Association of Transportation Companies Ligeva.
Transachema has implemented a management system in compliance with the LST EN ISO 9001:2001 standard, an environment protection management system according to the requirements of LST EN ISO 14001:2005 standard, as well as safety and health management system for the employees in conformity with the requirements of LST 1977:2005 standard.
Transachema is seeking to start operating on the railways as a cargo carrier and to provide the whole package of services from cargo freight to delivery on the railways. A fright license for carrying cargoes by railways in international routes has been acquired and a traffic safety plan has been agreed on.
